Here's a little-known-fact about me -- I'm a big fan of bubbles! Yes, I looove me some bubbles. Both the soapy blow-them-like-a-little-kid kind and the sparkling sipping kind. Hard to say which I like better, but it's probably the sparkling wine kind. Oh, how I love to sip those sparkly little bubbles.
From elaborate celebrations like weddings and parties, to enjoying a little impromptu get-together with friends, to a simple quiet evening at home, sparkling wine just adds the right amount of sparkle to any occasion.

Man alive, are Sparkling Mint Juleps good -- winning a seal of approval from both me and my non-wine drinking husband. Who knew a little bourbon, a little sparkling wine, and a little mint could be so good?
Sparkling Mint Julep Ingredients:
It takes just 4 ingredients to make a refreshing Sparkling Mint Julep. To whip one up, you'll need:
- Bourbon - The liquor that serves as the backbone of the drink.
- Fresh mint - It wouldn't be a Mint Julep without the mint! Muddle fresh mint leaves with the bourbon to bring this signature element to the drink.
- Simple syrup - This syrupy mixture of granulated sugar and water is typically used to bring sweetness to cocktails, and sweetens the bourbon in a Sparkling Mint Julep. Make simple syrup by placing equal parts water and sugar in a saucepan and heating while stirring until the sugar is completely dissolved.
- Sparkling wine - Choose your favorite sparkling wine for this cocktail, such as Prosecco, Cava, or a true Champagne. We recommend choosing a drier sparkling wine.
How to Make Sparkling Mint Juleps:
Muddle (or crush) them together with a spoon or a muddler, if you have one, pressing the mint leaves firmly against the side of the glass to release their oils.
Strain the bourbon-mint mixture into a champagne flute, then fill the remainder of the flute with sparkling wine. We usually choose a Prosecco, which is a sparkling wine from Italy.
To finish off the cocktail, garnish it with a nice sprig of fresh mint.
Whether you like to enjoy your bubbles "alone" or in a fun cocktail concoction like these Sparkling Mint Juleps, sparkling wine is just perfect for sipping for any occasion -- from an elaborate party celebration to a quiet Tuesday at home.
