Earlier this week, I shared the recipe for Peppermint Saltine Cracker Toffee ~ a Christmas-time version of classic cracker candy.  In that post, I talked about how I was first introduced to cracker candy by my sister-in-law ... with her favorite cracker candy recipe.

Well, today I'm sharing with you that recipe from my sister-in-law that started my love of cracker candy at first bite -- classic Graham Cracker Pralines (aka ~ Praline Graham Cracker Candy).

After trying that very first taste of praline cracker candy, I was hooked.

I guess you could call Graham Cracker Pralines my first love of cracker candy.  And a very enduring love it's been.

I've since come to know many different versions of the tasty stuff like salted toffee cracker candy, s'mores cracker candy, and Christmas peppermint cracker candy -- loving each and every.  But for me, none compare to that very first one I tasted.

I guess you could call Graham Cracker Pralines my first love of cracker candy.  And a very enduring love it's been, indeed.

With this classic Graham Cracker Pralines version, graham crackers are loaded with pecans and chocolate chips, and then slathered with cracker candy's signature boiled butter-sugar mixture.

Easy, crunchy, chocolatey, praline deliciousness.  Seriously, what's not to love?

It's pretty easy to whip up a batch of Graham Cracker Pralines, and they only take about 20 to 30 minutes from start to finish.

Start by laying graham crackers out on a baking sheet, lining the graham crackers up so they're touching.

Next, sprinkle the graham crackers evenly with some chopped pecans and chocolate chips.  Make sure some pecans and chocolate chips end up on each and every graham cracker.

Then boil together granulated sugar and butter.  Pour the hot mixture evenly over the graham crackers.

This mixture creates the sugary coating of the cracker candy and adheres the pecans and chocolate chips to the graham crackers.  Be sure to pour the sugar-butter mixture all over the pan of graham crackers.

Pop the pan in the oven, and bake everything up for 10 minutes.

The ease with which Graham Cracker Pralines come together make them a perfect simple little treat to whip up for the holidays -- for cookie trays, cookie exchanges, or especially if you're making treats as gifts from the kitchen for neighbors, co-workers, or as party hostess gifts.

Place a few in a cellophane bag or clear plastic cup wrapped in clear wrap, tie with a ribbon , and voila! ... a quick-and-tasty little gift.

Now as for our house, we won't be giving any of these Graham Cracker Pralines away as little gifts.

Because it seems I'm not the only one who fell in love with them at first bite.  My husband fell in love, too ... which means this batch? ... Lasted all of about a half a day.

Enjoy!
