Ahhhh, springtime is on its way!  And along with spring's arrival comes so many wonderful events.  Like Easter, and Mother's Day, the start of bridal shower and wedding season ... and the beautiful joy of simple front porch sitting and sipping.

And I've go the perfect pretty-in-pink cocktail for all these wonderful spring events.  I mean, how pretty would this little cocktail be for Easter brunch?  Or for serving up at a bridal shower or Mother's Day lunch?  Or for anytime spring {or summer} sipping, for that matter?

With it's combination of muddled fresh raspberries, lemon, wine, honey, and its beautiful bright pink color, there's just no way I could resist sharing this fun cocktail.  The honey, fresh lemon juice, and fresh raspberries combine to create such wonderful flavor when mixed with the sweetness of Moscato as the base.  It just screams spring to me.

Now as beekeepers, anything with honey is near-and-dear to our hearts, of course.  I'm always on the lookout for great recipes that use and feature honey, and this Moscato Honey Bee Cocktail is a perfect way to enjoy the fruits our busy little bees' labor.

Here are a couple of photos of my husband working on robbing one of our hives.

The recipe for this Moscato Honey Bee Cocktail comes courtesy of Fronterra Wines.  In addition to making their original recipe straight up, I also played around with it a bit, too.  Which inspired me to create a version without the raspberries, following the lead of a traditional Bee's Knees cocktail.

The result?  A fabulous friend to the raspberry version and one of my now-absolute-favorite cocktails of all time ... the Moscato Bee's Knees Wine Cocktail.

While not as strikingly beautiful as the bright pink of the Moscato Honey Bee, the Moscato Bee's Knees sure delivers up fabulous honey flavor just like its pretty little pink friend.

I think both versions are just perfect for springtime {and summertime} sipping, don't you?

So grab your jar of honey, a bottle of Moscato, and a few fresh raspberries to whip up this delicious pretty-in-pink drink.  It would go just beautifully with Easter brunch, Mother's Day lunch, a bridal shower, or simple front porch sipping.
